Finite Element Analysis for Biomechanical Imaging
Course project for Fundamentals of Finite Element. I identified shear modulus distribution in an inverse elasticity problem where displacement fields were obtained from ultrasonic imaging. The inverse problem was posed as PDE-constrained minimization, and the finite element method was applied to the Euler-Lagrange equations.
Input: measured displacement fields in the x and y directions.
Output: recovered shear modulus distribution.
